This is a very well-made slicer. In addition, the wide range of adjustments makes it easy to get exactly the thickness I wanted. Since I’m trying to lose weight (who isn’t) I made a non-pasta version of stuffed manicotti by slicing a large zucchini relatively thin (long ways) and then rolling it around a ground chicken base (cooked with tomato sauce like a thick meat sauce).

In another dish, I used the setting that made julienne strips and substituted that for spaghetti. I’ve sliced tomatoes with it and it does them perfectly, too. The gloves that protect fingers from getting sliced into the food is a nice touch 🙂 Versatile & very well made.

We bought this to make plantain chips and slaw (Nicaraguan style) and it worked great! We like how the blade is adjustable and you don’t have to switch out the blades (just turn the knob). The blade sliced through green plantains and cabbage easily. It feels sturdy and we think it’ll last a long time.

I was looking for a mandoline slicer and frankly, some of the reviews were terrifying – people severing fingers, needing stitches, etc! I decided to risk my appendages with this one as it was at a reasonable price and looked very sturdy and safe. It’s fantastic! Vegetables sliced ultra-thin, fennel salad, yes please! Radishes are so gorgeous. The perfect kitchen companion! Folds up nicely, a breeze to clean, definitely recommended!
