We got little time for household chores. So we buy several gadgets to do the job. But why not be creative and use the same one for multiple purposes? You can save some precious time this way.

I’m sure you got a dishwasher right? Then use it to clean several other stuff as well! Apart from dishes, duh.

1. Dusty Dustpans

Dustpans help us to clean off the dust from floors. Don’t you think we should keep it clean as well?  Load it inside the dishwasher such that the dirty surface is facing down. The washer will spray at it directly and will give out a shining dustpan.

2. Dish Sponges



They help us to clean our utensils, but at the cost of themselves! They are prone to germs and mold. If you see any such, put them in your dishwasher on the heated dry setting. They’ll come out as clean as new!

3. Light Bulbs

Cleaning light bulbs or LEDs ALWAYS make our hands filthy. But we can’t avoid cleaning them either. So let’s use the dishwasher for this job too! Of course, that’s possible. Carefully keep the bulb on the dishwasher rack and run it through a regular cycle but skip the dry cycle.

4. Phone Covers



None of our phone covers can escape their yellowish fate. I find that VERY irritating. It ruins the appearance of my phone! So I use my dishwasher to clean the yellowish stain off.
