Colgate is Awesome: Whitening for Adults, Gamification for Kids, and More!

I think that I recently heard my refrigerator say, "You people don't stop eating!" Well, not really, but it wouldn't be wrong. I recently realized that we need to make sure that we don't break our healthy habits by snacking too much. We should even try to find new healthy habits to find a silver lining in the quarantine situation. We were brainstorming ideas and my husband said that we should whiten our teeth. We also realized that our children should take more responsibility for brushing their teeth since they are getting older. So, when I had the opportunity to learn about some of the latest technologies from Colgate, I was excited. In today's post, I'll tell you about a couple of products that are great to use for self-improvement - Colgate’s Optic White Advanced LED Whitening Kit (for adults) and MAGIK (for kids).

In today's post, I'll tell you about a couple of products that are great to use for self-improvement - Colgate’s Optic White Advanced LED Whitening Kit (for adults) and MAGIK (for kids).
Let's start with Colgate’s Optic White Advanced LED Whitening Kit (for adults). You may have seen this product featured in Allure, Hollywood Life, or on the Colgate website. I was intrigued to try it because the product has fantastic reviews. I have used many Colgate brand toothpastes over the years and it is a brand that I prefer. In fact, everyone in our family has used Colgate toothpaste for many years.
My husband and I decided to try the whitening kit together. The kit had everything that we needed, plus we received 20 capsules of the whitening serum.
It's easy to use. I think that it's also worth mentioning that you charge it to get started. No batteries are needed.
The capsules are pretty easy to use.
I appreciated that it wasn't messy. This surprised me. I thought that the gel would be messy, but it was actually super easy to use and didn't cause a mess at all. In fact, we were able to apply the gel to the top and bottom without a mess. I took a photo of the gel so that you are able to see how easy it was to work with. We flipped this upside down to insert the gel for the bottom without any problems!
It's not a big time commitment. We only had to insert it for ten minutes per treatment. The photo below shows my husband holding it in his mouth. It was easy-peasy!
We found that this product worked wonders. I actually didn't realize how happy we would be with the results. I feel like our teeth discolored slowly over time, so it wasn't dramatic and that's why we didn't realize how much we would needed to whiten our teeth. We had a great experience with this product. In hindsight, we wish that we would have used this sooner!

Now let's move on to Colgate's MAGIK which uses gamification to make brushing teeth fun, educational, and entertaining. My children love video games. They are like moths to a flame when it comes to a video game. So, the team at Colgate did something amazing - they gamified brushing teeth with augmented reality. It's really, really cool!
Kids travel through an AR universe, defeat cavity monsters as they brush, unlock new worlds and win MAGIK Brushing Masks all while developing healthy brushing habits through the gamification. By accessing the “parental dashboard”, parents can see immediate feedback on their child’s brushing habits and receive advice on how to improve their technique. The team who designed this deserves an award. This was just such a cool application of technology and is a total game changer for helping your children to brush their teeth. It made me warm up to video games because this one is for a good cause and I love the parent/child bonding that happened for us with this system. Colgate MAGIK makes it fun to improve brushing techniques.

The 24/7 quarantine is rough, but it's also an opportunity to create new healthy habits. It's such a strange time, but it's also the perfect time to try new things and to come out healthier on the other side.
